Columbia
Bed Requests
With the decreased time it takes to get a patient admitted, please hold bed requests until the initial ED work-up is complete even if you know the patient is going to be admitted anyway. (eg, admitting someone for a pneumonia please wait until basic labs and XR are back before placing a bed request to PPOC).
Critical Care Resuscitation Area
There will be a Town Hall with Columbia ED Operations and the Residency on 03/22/23 from 12pm-1pm over Zoom to address feedback about the CCR. Please attend; and reminder to fill out the questionnaire ahead of time to streamline the Town Hall please
McGraths
Reminder to put the McGrath in a red specimen bag and give it with the open intubation box to the clerk in area B/C. If there is difficulty finding the clerk in area B or C please give to the charge or pivot RNs. For issues please escalate to your senior or attending!
Cornell
Airway Boxes
Airway box location and decision to open is at the discretion of the treating physician.
If there are any issues please escalate to your senior resident or attending and let the Chiefs know.

In-Person at Cornell in the Sim Center (10th Floor, use N elevators) from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
For conference on 03/22/23, we will be conducting the ACGME Survey. Please arrive to conference promptly on-time as there is important information to discuss prior to the survey.
